Wizards searching for elusive win at RSL

Soccer Betting Lines

05/27/2010 - Sandy, UT (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Real Salt Lake puts its perfect May record on the line vs. the visiting Kansas City Wizards on Saturday night in Major League Soccer action at Rio Tinto Stadium.

RSL (5-3-1) has won its previous four games in May after going winless in April to start the season. The most recent result was a 2-1 win at Chivas USA this past Saturday.

"It was a huge objective and we put a huge amount of emphasis on trying to get a shutout out [at The Home Depot Center vs. Chivas USA]," RSL coach Jason Kreis said after the game. "I think the way we started this year on the road, we wanted to be a team that would be a team that would be extremely difficult to break down when we play on the road. I wanted to make that the first and foremost objective for our team, so I was really disappointed to get that goal in the second half and the manner in which it was scored, too."

RSL gave up an 80th minute equalizer in the game after scoring a goal in the closing second of the first half before Fabian Espindola answered with the winner in the 89th.

"Apart from that, I thought we were difficult, we defended really well for the 80 minutes out of the 90, so some positives but also, we need to be fairly critical of giving that goal the way we did. But then the reaction after that, extremely pleased. [Espindola] comes on and makes the difference, and we walk away with three points, so that's great."

The Wizards (2-4-2) are on a six-game winless run and are desperate to get the full points, especially after falling 1-0 at home to the Columbus Crew this past weekend.

"I'm very frustrated, and I know that the players are as well,' Wizards coach Peter Vermes said of the winless streak. "There have been several games where we played well, but things have not fallen our way. We'll go back out and keep trying to make it happen on the training field, and then we'll try to execute in the game. This stuff can turn very quickly."

Wizards midfielder Davy Arnaud knows Saturday's game is a big one for his club after it only earned one point during a two-game home stand.

"We've got to win games," he said. "The results we have been getting have not been good enough. I would prefer to play ugly and create one chance and win 1-0 than create 10 chances and lose 1-0. We've got to find a way to win, and that's it."

Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament odds
As of February 9, MySportsbook.com has released its coveted 2007 Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament betting odds. “March Madness betting ” only a month away, the top ranked Florida Gators are favorite at 7-2 to win it all. The defending champs have not disappointed at all this season and currently have a 22-2 record and are undefeated (9-0) in SEC play. The Gators’ thrive off of their extremely balanced, experienced and versatile attack. All five starters started in last seasons National Championship game. What is most impressive with this group is their balance; the five starters all average between 10.7 and 13.6 PPG. The Gators have been on an absolute roll having won 15 straight by an average of 16.4 PPG.

Right behind the Gators are the 5th ranked UNC Tar Heels at 9-2. The Heels (21-3, 7-2) are absolutely loaded with top notch talent and are as deep as any team in the country. A concern for the Tar Heels might be inexperience. Of their top four scorers/ minute earners, three are freshmen and the other is a sophomore. The rest of the regular season, the Tar Heels play only one team that is currently ranked (Duke). Their remaining opponents do combine for an impressive 107-58 record though.

Other teams that the MySportsbook.com members seem to believe will win it all include the west coasts’ top team #2 UCLA (6-1), #3 OSU behind man-child Greg Oden (8-1), and #4 Wisconsin (10-1) behind their defense which has given up 70+ points only three times all season.

Below is a list of some of the favorites to win the 2007 Men’s NCAA Basketball Championship lines. For the full list of teams and March Madness odds be sure to log onto MySportsbook.com.
